Bond started his career with the SIUe Cougars during the 2015/2016 season where he had great success playing in the tough Central Region of the ACHA D2 hockey league. As a freshman he was able to score a total of 46 points as he helped the Cougars win their 8th career MACHA Championship against the University of Iowa and finish the regular season with the extremely high team ranking of 4th in the Central Region.
